Where have all the flowers gone?

WHERE HAVE ALL THE FLOWERS GONE
words and music by Pete Seeger
performed by Pete Seeger and Tao Rodriguez-Seeger

Where have all the flowers gone?
Long time passing
Where have all the flowers gone?
Long time ago
Where have all the flowers gone?
Girls have picked them every one
When will they ever learn?
When will they ever learn?

Where have all the young girls gone?
Long time passing
Where have all the young girls gone?
Long time ago
Where have all the young girls gone?
Taken husbands every one
When will they ever learn?
When will they ever learn?

Where have all the young men gone?
Long time passing
Where have all the young men gone?
Long time ago
Where have all the young men gone?
Gone for soldiers every one
When will they ever learn?
When will they ever learn?

Where have all the soldiers gone?
Long time passing
Where have all the soldiers gone?
Long time ago
Where have all the soldiers gone?
Gone to graveyards every one
When will they ever learn?
When will they ever learn?

Where have all the graveyards gone?
Long time passing
Where have all the graveyards gone?
Long time ago
Where have all the graveyards gone?
Covered with flowers every one
When will we ever learn?
When will we ever learn?

Thinking and honouring all those who have died in the recent conflicts.  Our thoughts are with their families and loved ones.  Our hearts break for their loss.

PS sorry for our silence but my Jeannie has been ill with the 'flu since returning home from England.  I am making sure I keep her warm and we are snuggling up together.  She says her head hurts.  ;0(  And her throat is really sore, she has a bad cough too.  Enough of all this reporting on your symptoms Jeannie, I refuse to type anything more.  You are just looking for sympathy, as you feel sorry for yourself.  Humans eh?

Return of The Hollow Hound

I am back.  My break away was not as long as I feared it might be.  Thank you to everydog and person who left such kind comments on  my last post.  Things have calmed down here and I barked to my Jeannie I was missing out on all the dog blog fun.  She said sometimes a rest does you good.  Personally I think a rather tasty, juicy bone would do the job just as well.

It is my Gotcha Week.  My Jeannie cannot remember which day my family rescued me from here but it was during this week ten and a half years ago, I came to live with my family at my Forever Home.

While I have been away I have been perfecting my table manners and generally mooching sorry, working very hard.  I have missed you all, and hope to catch up with everydog soonest.

Below here I am sitting politely at the table, waiting to be served.  Methinks it is Nouvelle Cuisine, rather small servings it appears.

My starter.

Getting to grips with it.

 Embracing the table.

Ok, where on earth is the next course?

Time to say Good Bye - for a while anyway ;0D

Cheerio for now.......! Keep smiling. ;0D

We are taking a break from the Dog Blogging World, for a short time. No worries, we will be back, things are so frantically hectic just now here in the 'real world' with us.

What with family stuff, our kids, living etc. We feel bad because of this, however, we cannot do justice, to all the other many wonderful and clever dog blogs out there, either by commenting regularly, or even just reading your lovely dog blogs.

We love all your blogs, but sometimes it all gets too much.

So we are taking a break, taking some time out by living a bit, laughing a lot, and sending good wishes to you all.

Please still keep us in your hearts and blogs, and please don't forget us!

Your friends, Marvin and Jeannie xxxxxxx

And yes, she was here, my Jeannie, at Merry Beach, Australia,

Thanks to Dog Blogging my Jeannie travelled to the other side of the world to meet Opy's parents. We will be back, just give us time! We need a rest ;0D

That's all
Folks!

For now.............and definitely to be continued.

Jeannie.

Goodbyes are not forever.

Goodbyes are not the end.
They simply mean I'll miss you
Until we meet again!
~Author Unknown

Only Au Revoir! Oh and good-bye for now from Jeannie too. May all your lives be filled with much joy and laughter. Until we meet again.

A Serious Announcement

I have a serious announcement to bark.

Although I have been told in the past it is very rude to bark with your mouth full.........

There is no other way to bark this, I am afraid.

I am getting in touch with my er.........ahem, FEMININE side.

Yes, I know it may shock you all - but pink is really starting to "rock my boat".

Pink and Poochy

An Alien C.A.T. has landed in my living room. Although it seems to have a fairly wooden personality. You will note, I am looking a bit "poochy" - well, wouldn't you? Not only do I have a C.A.T. posing in my photos, but a PINK blanket???? What's this all about?

It also seems to be a bit of a Fashionista, rather too fond of our Aussie Bandana for my liking.

I demanded a re-think on the colourways of my blankets. I nearly called upon my Labradorable Sibe pal, Dave, after all he is the definitive Guide Dog for The Colour Blind.

Now it appears a space ship has been beamed down into my living room.

Apparently it is my new bed. Although I suspect it is an Alien Craft. This is how the darn C.A.T. got into the house I am sure.

Have a grrrrreat weekend every Pup, Human and Hamster looking in!
